Company Overview
 
Brave Electrical Contracting (BEC) is an electrical contracting business.  Established in 2003, the company provides quality services to the southeast Virginia area including governmental, light industrial and commercial businesses.  We are specialists in the electrical contracting field.  BEC prides itself in quality workmanship at affordable prices from exact custom installations to repetitive operations needed in hotel rooms.
 
BEC is willing and able to provide for all your electrical needs.  Whether it be for your home or business, BEC offers the most modern state of the art lighting fixtures, lighting controls, power distribution equipment and fire alarm systems.  Through our line of electrical suppliers and qualified electrical workers, we offer new installation, renovations, upgrades, restorations, and can even help in designing and planning your electrical installation.
 
We provide services in both main and emergency power distribution for a complex of buildings or a single structure.  Our experienced team has all the tools and equipment needed for rough-in of feeder conduit and cable, cable tray systems, in floor wiring distribution systems, raised access floor systems, surface raceway systems, feeder and plug-in busduct distribution, and standard branch circuit and lighting installations.  We take full responsibility for the establishment of new incoming electrical service, to include coordination of all required permitting and inspections with local authorities, coordination and scheduling with the utility company.

Our Scope

 

BEC defines the scope of electrical work for any project, and our goal is to assure that our pricing on bid day includes all equipment, material, labor, tolls, and incidentals required to perform that scope.  All electrical installations rated 600 volts or less, we perform with our own forces.  Medium and high voltage work ant testing are included in our scope, but we subcontract that work to specialty firms that have the required certifications and experience to install and warranty their work.

BEC has completed over fifty government contracts along with over five hundred contracts for other businesses and residential customers successfully during our business time frame.  These are subcontracts under prime government contracts and purchase orders from prime contractors.  These are examples:  VA6-20-HUD, AE01114-NASA, and NMCP0858-US Navy.
